As a progression of our grooming training, Doggrooming.ie have progressed through the arduous process of becoming City and Guilds Satellite Assessment Centers. We are the only centers in the Republic of Ireland able to offer you the opportunity to achieve the following qualifications

•  City & Guilds/NPTC Dog Grooming Assistant 7763 Level 2 
• City & Guilds/NPTC Introductory Certificate Dog Grooming 7763 Level 3
• Handstrip Module for City & Guilds/NPTC Level 3 Diploma in Professional Dog Grooming

This is a qualification aimed at people coming into the industry and who have no prior knowledge or experience of grooming. It can be achieved as a stand-alone qualification for students or staff wishing to an accredited certificate, or as a progression route for students thinking of further City & Guilds grooming qualifications.

This qualification is your first step towards towards a career in professional dog grooming and styling, whether or not you have some experience in a dog grooming salon or the Level 2 Certificate for Dog Grooming Assistants.The examination consists of a short answer written paper, and a practical element which tests your clipping skills on one dog.

When you have approximately 18 months' grooming experience, you should enrol for the City & Guilds/NPTC Level 3 Diploma in Professional Dog Grooming (7763-03). This enables you to demonstrate your ability to trim and style a range of dogs, using various techniques including hand-stripping. It proves to future employers that you have been trained correctly to a professional level and at the same time gives your customers confidence that you are competent to groom their dogs.
